Maruti Victoris: New mid-size SUV that will balance style and economy
India’s mid-size SUV segment is growing rapidly and now Maruti Suzuki has introduced its new model Victoris in this category. This car will be sold from the company’s Arena dealership and it has been launched directly in competition with popular vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyrider and Honda Elevate.

New and modern interior
The interior of Maruti Victoris is its biggest feature. Its dashboard is in layered design and is divided into three parts. The top part has a color head-up display (HUD) on the driver’s side with a black textured finish. The middle part has diamond-shaped ambient lighting, which can be customized up to 64 colors. The lower part is made of soft-touch leather, which gives a premium feel.
The steering wheel has a new 3-spoke design and there is also a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Information like speed, tachometer, ADAS and fuel economy can be easily viewed in it.
Apart from this, it has a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This screen also includes in-built maps and Alexa assistant.
Comfort and space
Victoris is offered in a 5-seater layout. All seats get 3-point seatbelts and adjustable headrests. The seats have dual-tone black and off-white leatherette upholstery. The front seats come with ventilation and the driver seat features 8-way power adjustment.
The boot space is large and the flat loading bay makes it easy to store luggage.
Engine and performance
The Maruti Victoris will be offered with three engine options:
1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol engine – 116PS power and 141Nm torque, e-CVT gearbox
1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine – 103PS power and 137Nm torque, 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT gearbox
1.5-litre petrol + CNG option – 88PS power and 121.5Nm torque, 5-speed MT
The SUV gets FWD (front-wheel drive) as standard, while the automatic variants will also get the option of AWD (all-wheel drive).
Price and launch
Prices for the Maruti Victoris are expected to start at around ₹9.75 lakh and go up to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). Its launch is expected to be around Diwali 2025.
