Xbox More than 30 new games are coming to Xbox from 4 to 8 August: Know what is special

If you are an Xbox user, then the beginning of August can be very interesting for you. This week more than 30 new games are launching on Xbox. Many of these are indie games, but some big titles are also included which gaming fans can like a lot.

This week’s list also includes big releases like Mafia: The Old Country and Madden NFL 26 free trial. Also, the theme of some games is light-hearted, and some are based on serious story. Let’s take a look at this week’s gaming update.

Xbox Games releasing on August 5

Many games are starting from August 5 itself.

Dark Steel Legends is a medieval combat game that will require both strategy and reflexes.

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is for anime fans, in which Tanjiro’s story is connected with new arcs.

Little Helper Café is a light-hearted puzzle game in which you play a cute hedgehog.

Release on August 6 and 7

On August 6, some new hidden object games like Lost & Found Agency and Destination Paradise are coming. Their focus is more on story and visuals.

On August 7, games like Fruitbus have you cooking food in a truck and traveling to new places.

The EA Play trial of Madden NFL 26 will also be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the same day – meaning gamers can play it for free for 10 hours.

August 8: The busiest day

Many games are launching simultaneously on August 8.

During the past week, Mafia: The Old Country generated lots of buzz. It is based on the underworld story of 1900s Sicily.

Darksiders 4 has also been announced, but its release date is not yet out.

Apart from this, some light games like Hex Cats, Pet Show and Pocket Rockets will also be released which can be good options for young children or casual gamers.

Talking about Xbox console sales…

If we look at console sales, Xbox Series X|S sales have declined by about 30% in the first half of 2025.

Xbox Series X|S: 1.28 million units

PlayStation 5: 5.25 million units

Nintendo Switch 2: 5.44 million units

It is clear that Xbox is facing tough competition from other platforms, but this new range of games may help a bit.

Conclusion

The new games being released for Xbox this week appear to consider every category of gamer, from those diehard action aficionados to casual puzzle lovers. Interestingly, some of the biggest titles like Mafia and Madden are now available on trial basis, allowing you to experience them first without having to buy the full game.

If you are an Xbox Game Pass user, this week is going to be full of excitement for you.
