John Krasinski is returning to star in ‘Jack Ryan’ for Amazon
Andrew Bernstein, who served as executive producer and director on two seasons of the series, will direct the feature that takes the hit series into longform storytelling.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, the hit adventure series for Amazon MGM, is moving to movies.

The company is developing a feature film that will see series topliner John Krasinski return in the lead role as the intrepid CIA analyst.
Wendell Pierce (The Wire) is also set to return, while Michael Kelly (House of Cards) is in negotiations to return. amazon prime video
Andrew Bernstein, who served as executive producer and director on two seasons of the series, will direct the feature, with a script written by Aaron Rabin, who served as co-executive producer and writer on season four.
Jack Ryan was based on the characters and the so-called “Ryanverse” created by writer Clancy, but set in modern times. It ran for four seasons on Amazon Prime Video, where it ranks among Prime’s three most-watched series globally.
Krasinski and Alison Seeger are producing the feature through their Sunday Night banner. Andrew Form is also producing.
Ryan is being produced in association with Paramount Pictures and Skydance. Skydance’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg will executive produce alongside John Kelly and Carlton Cuse.
Bernstein, who was one of the lead directors on Netflix’s Ozark, recently directed several episodes of Welcome to Derry for HBO and worked on the first season of The Diplomat for Netflix. He is repped by CAA, Industry Entertainment Partners and McKuin Frankel.

Rabin recently worked on the action thriller Nobody 2, starring Bob Odenkirk, currently in post-production at Universal. Its Spec Towers hit the 2020 Black List. He is repped by CAA and Untitled. amazon prime video
Krasinski, who is also an accomplished filmmaker, most recently wrote, created and directed the family fantasy IF, in which he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds. He and his banner also produced A Quiet Place: Day One, an expansion of his acclaimed animal feature franchise.
